After the alleged rumor of a new GTA title coming next year, Rockstar Games didn’t have more options but to reveal that the IP is in development. Unfortunately, as reported by ScreenRant, even though there have been suggestions about the gameplay and characters, “​​the lack of information has only increased the rumors and speculation surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI, as many alleged insiders have dropped hints about the latest GTA title and its launch date.“ Also, it has been said that the new IP could be seeing the light until 2025, making a 10-year cycle for the franchise since the last GTA entry was released. But it was all rumors and speculations from “reliable sources.”

Additionally, Xfire recently shared what seemed to be confirmed (by a Rockstar insider) story details, release date & new GTA VI Online map. The info was revealed through their Twitter account, but it didn’t get as much impact as expected.

And now, a new GTA VI leaks suggest the story will take place in Columbia / Miami and include in-game #cryptocurrency rewards for players to earn and trade. According to Watcher Guru, “cryptocurrency could be added as a story element in the game’s plot making the player earn multiple forms of income. Characters who are crypto billionaires can give missions that will be paid with cryptocurrency.”

As you can imagine, Tom Henderson got into the conversation and commented about it too.

Since the game is still in development, it’s hard to know whether the rumors could be true. So, for the time being, we’ll have to wait for further updates from Rockstar Games.
