PlayStation Plus doesn’t seem to reach the same popularity as the Xbox’s Game Pass, and although the service had renewed itself, things don’t seem to improve at least for certain players.
While the waters are calm with PS4 and PS5 users who like contemporary games, the niche that loves classic games are not happy and the early lack of attention for classics is already giving something to talk about.
You failed them…
The higher-priced PS Plus tiers include a collection of classic PS One and PSP games, something that appealed to these users, especially after it was found that they ran at 60Hz putting an end to speculation about the PAL versions and their performance.
The expectation grew after each month's announcement was supposed to be accompanied by new classic releases, however, the absence of these titles this month angered fans in a big way.
After making official the batch of games included in PS Plus this month, users who were expecting classic PS One and PSP games lashed out on social networks against PlayStation for the lack of announcements for them. Among the criticisms, there is a lack of interest from the company in releasing games in the wake of the introduction of this new version of the service. There are also complaints about the fact that access to these classics is made possible by paying more for the subscription and well… they are not receiving any.
are we actually going to get more classic games or no? like i'm really struggling to see the point in keeping a premium sub when i could just drop to extra because the classic games and trials are so not worth it

It is known that the current PlayStation administration, under the command of Jim Ryan, has been reluctant to continue dealing with games from systems prior to PS4 and it has been thanks to pressure from gamers that favourable changes have been made.
Sadly the attitude of the brand towards old titles could be maintained and what is currently happening in PS Plus with classic titles could be a sign of this. Hopefully, they will do something… soon.
