MultiVersus receives its anticipated patch today, with the start of Season 1 set for August 15. This update brings modifications to the game balance and new content, which may include previously unannounced characters such as Black Adam and Stripe.
We already know that Season 1 will see the addition of Morty to the extensive roster of the action game based on the Warner Bros. and DC Comics universes, but there appears to be more stuff coming.
A promotional image has been circulating for a few hours now, showing Black Adam as a possible new character along with Stripe, who appears to be joining the game.
Black Adam is a historical DC Comics villain, an antihero who first appeared in the Shazam series before becoming a stand-alone character. Stripe, on the other hand, is a Gremlins character who leads the First Batch of creatures in question.
The announcement of these new characters might come soon, but in the meantime, the official patch notes are out and full of information.
These reveal that Morty will see the ñight on August 23, and the patch will split into two parts, with the second arriving in the days following August 15.
Some changes have been applied to Taz and his Tornado move and to Arya Stark in her combos. Meanwhile, MultiVersus has reached 10 million players worldwide and it's available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
