Xbox Cloud Gaming may offer Keyboard & Mouse support soon

This could be a significant upgrade for PC gamers

Xbox Cloud Gaming has been a prevalent topic for Xbox fans this year. Currently available across various platforms, this digital feature allows users to enjoy their games without buying a next-gen console or building an expensive PC.

The only thing that has kept many Xbox fans from 100% loving Cloud Gaming is that controllers are needed even though they’re playing on PC. This has become annoying for some gamers since PC gaming usually requires a keyboard and mouse.

Fortunately, it looks like this won’t be a problem for much longer. Cloud Gaming users have stumbled upon a possible upcoming feature that will add keyboard and mouse support for a select number of games on said service.

Spotted on Twitter, it turns out that a new icon thingy was found in the Cloud Gaming tab of the Xbox App. The icon opens a filter that displays which games will be compatible with the keyboard/mouse feature.

Microsoft hasn’t officially commented on the keyboard and mouse support for the time being. Even though it has been held as a promise since it was planned for Xbox One, the feature hasn’t been announced nor launched for any console just yet. So, unfortunately, for now, it seems like this would be exclusive to PC gaming.

Remember that Xbox will attend Gamescom next week, so there’s a chance that the upcoming feature will be mentioned during their showcase (among other exciting announcements.)

What are your thoughts on this? Do you play on a PC or console? Let us know in the comment section!
