Although Bloober Team is currently working on Layers of Fears, rumors suggest that the studio is also working on a remake of Silent Hill 2, one of many Silent Hill projects in the works. And while we're only hearing rumors, for the time being, a more concrete leak surfaced on social media this weekend.
While Konami has yet to confirm its plans for the future of Silent Hill in the gaming world, increasing leaks indicate that the series will return soon. Last Sunday, some images began spreading on the internet, and they seem to be related to a rumored remake of the series' second game.

The low-resolution screenshots show a game with a third-person camera angle, an over-the-shoulder view, and several dark settings.
This is not a game in development, according to the leakers, but rather part of the proposal that Bloober Team would have made to Konami to work on the series.
This isn't the first time images of a supposed new Silent Hill chapter have leaked onto the internet. Dusk Golem, a well-known insider, released a series of screenshots purporting to show a previously unreleased episode of the series in May of this year, which were quickly taken offline by Konami, implying the material could be real.
If the Japanese company does reveal anything about the series' future soon, they are expected to do so during the Tokyo Game Show 2022. It has already stated that a new game from a "beloved series" is being prepared for the event, which may also include the announcement of remasters of the first three Metal Gear Solid games.
