Apple held today an event in California to present the new iPhone 14; iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and Pro Max. The company also made official three new versions of the Apple Watch Series 8 and the AirPods Pro 2 headphones.
The new iPhones cost $799 (for the cheapest version), while the Apple Watch starts at $399, and the AirPods Pro starts at $249. The company also reduced prices for older products.
The new iPhone 14 will be available in five colors: black, blue, white, purple, and red. This device will include the A15 Bionic chip, which is the same as the iPhone 13 but adjusted to present the six cores found in the iPhone 13 Pro Max, and a 12 MP camera with larger sensors than the previous generation. It also promises longer battery life.
The iPhone 14 Plus is the company's second model announcement ($899). The only distinction will be the size of the custom Apple OLED screen. The iPhone 14 will be 6.1" in size, while the iPhone 14 Plus will be 6.7". It's worth noting that these are Super Retina XDR panels certified for HDR10 and Dolby Vision.
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus weren't the only models Apple revealed. It just so happens that the iPhone 14 Pro Max and the iPhone 14 Pro Max were also announced.
The Pro model is the most expensive phone that Apple will release this year, meaning it'll be a phone with unique features that will provide a more premium experience than the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.
The iPhone 14 Pro line will be equipped with Apple's A16 Bionic processor, which promises better performance and efficiency than standard models. Add to that a Super Retina XDR panel with ProMotion 120Hz for a more fluid viewing experience.
The main novelty of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, aside from its 48 MP cameras accompanied by a 12 MP Ultra wide-angle sensor and a 12 MP selfie camera, is Dynamic Island, a solution with which Apple will finally say goodbye to the notch.
It is a system that interacts with various applications and can vary in length depending on the application. As a result, the black line on the screen will be more than just a simple stripe but is a system that will complement our application use.
Seriously, "Dynamic Island" (what a name) is brilliant! Apple just turned the notch into a usable feature. 🤯 #AppleEvent pic.twitter.com/qkuK7n1ET8
