In case you didn't know, a few days ago, we reported on how EA announced that its The Sims 4 title would become free-to-play, news that excited the entire Simmers community.
Also, we had commented on how EA is preparing a special event on October 18 to announce their projects, so speculation has begun about what they will promote for that day. However, someone very reliable in the industry commented that The Sims 5 could be announced that day.
WILL THERE BE THE SIMS 5?
This information comes from renowned insider Jeff Grubb, who announced on the Game Mess Mornings podcast that Electronic Arts would take advantage of the Behind the Sims Summit presentation to formally announce the new title in the series.
"The Sims 5 is also on the way. On this thing next month, they're almost certainly going to announce it, the announcement is coming soon, and I've heard it's very likely to be next month. Expect to hear more from The Sims 5 soon." Grubb said.
As exciting as the news sounds, it's not like EA will announce the game, and it's coming out soon, either. We remind you that EA has stated that they will continue to work on a lot of content for The Sims 4.
If The Sims 5 project is announced, it will surely only be the announcement that it is already in development, but its official launch will still be a long way off.
Also, we remind you that this is unofficial information, so we still have to wait for the event to see what news awaits us. However, in case you didn't know, Jeff Grubb is an insider who has proven to be a very reliable source in the industry, especially regarding details of Electronic Arts projects.
The Sims 4 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
