Want to play Final Fantasy 16 but don't have a PlayStation 5? Then be aware that the Square Enix title may be coming to other platforms much sooner than planned! We will only have to wait 6 months for the exclusivity to end.
Although six months may still seem like an eternity, we must remember that some titles take years to lose their exclusivity, so a few months, in the end, is not bad at all.
The title will only remain in Sony's hands for a little while
Sony has recently updated its official YouTube channel with the Play Like Never Before trailer, which contains very interesting details. Indeed, among the various titles shown in the course of the video, we find Final Fantasy 16, whose appearance on the screen is accompanied by a statement that leaves little room for interpretation and reads that the game will arrive on PlayStation 5 during the summer of 2023 and will remain a Sony exclusive for only six months.
The platforms on which the game will land at the end of the period in question are not specified. Still, this window likely refers to the role-playing game's debut on PC, similar to what happened already with the remake of Final Fantasy 7 about a year after its launch.
