Focus Entertainment and Don't Nod have unveiled a new action RPG called Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. The game, which was announced at The Game Awards 2022, portrays a duo of ghost hunters who have committed to safeguarding the living from the threat of lingering ghosts and spectres.
Antea Duarte and Red Mac Raith, a romantically entangled couple of ghost hunters, star in the game, which is set in 1695 amid the haunting wilds of North America.
Banishers (like most Don't Nod games) will present the player with complex options that will affect the tale and fate of New Eden's residents. Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden will be released at the end of 2023 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Don't Nod is most known for developing the first two Life Is Strange games, which were notable for their supernatural themes and choice-based gameplay. The studio also developed Vampyr, which Focus Entertainment released.
New Eden, 1695. Antea Duarte and Red mac Raith are lovers and Banishers, ghost-hunters who vowed to protect the living from the threat of lingering ghosts and spectres. Following a disastrous last mission, Antea is fatally wounded, becoming one of the spirits she loathes. In the haunted wilds of North America, the couple desperately searches for a way to liberate Antea from her new plight.
