Among the many companies that continue to expand through new acquisitions, we certainly find NetEase, which just a few hours ago concluded negotiations to add the software house SkyBox to its stables.

If the name of this team does not ring a bell, it is because this is a studio that is usually limited to helping other software houses implement their projects.

A great small company

You may be surprised to know that games to which SkyBox has also contributed include Minecraft, Fallout 76, EA Sports UFC, and even Halo Infinite. In the company's resume, we also find two original productions, TASTEE: Lethal Tactics and Stela, which were not particularly successful. In any case, it does not appear NetEase intends to disrupt its new acquisition, as it has been confirmed that SkyBox will continue supporting other teams as it has always done.

As a reminder, this is just one of several moves by the Eastern giant, which just a few months ago concluded the acquisition of Quantic Dream, the development team responsible for such popular adventures as Heavy Rain, Detroit Become Human, and Beyond Two Souls.

In case you missed it: Wo Long Fallen Dynasty introduces 17 weapon types and over 40 armor sets!

For those who do not know, even the creator of Yakuza is now part of NetEase, a company with which he founded Nagoshi Studio. With all these new acquisitions, we can only wait and see what NetEase will surprise us with.

What do you expect from this company in the future? Let us know in the comments!
