The lost episode of a special Cartoon Network show has been discovered

Throughout the history of entertainment media, we have seen countless examples of Lost Media, projects that were lost and are impossible to find today. However, miracles happen from time to time, and some of these productions are rescued and brought to light. That's the case with today's story.

At the beginning of the millennium, Cartoon Network had a short-lived show called JBVO, which was a parody of a radio program with Johnny Bravo as the host. Here, the blonde-haired, muscular character interacted with viewers and played the television programs that the audience requested.

According to reports, this TV show made references to the dates of that time, so its broadcast was unique, and the television network had no intention of re-airing the old episodes. Therefore, the material that is currently known survived mainly thanks to people who used a VHS tape to record it.

JOHNNY BRAVO AND DRAGON BALL HAD A CROSSOVER YOU DIDN'T KNOW EXISTED

JBVO had a total of 28 episodes, according to reports. In most episodes, Jeff Bennett, the voice actor who brings Johnny Bravo to life, read fan letters, with viewers often requesting the re-airing of programs like Scooby-Doo and the presenter's own cartoon.

However, on May 5, 2000, a young woman named Jennifer requested her favorite episode of Dragon Ball Z, in which Goku and Frieza have their final battle on Namek. To her disappointment, Johnny Bravo claimed he was unable to broadcast the complete episode at that moment because his show was about to end.

Fortunately, the animated character proceeded to give a summary of the episode while showing accelerated scenes from Dragon Ball Z. Undoubtedly, seeing Johnny Bravo describe the epic battle between Goku and Frieza is very funny and unusual. This JBVO episode was lost for decades, but internet archivists finally found it and shared it with the world, 23 years after its original broadcast. You can watch it here.

But tell us, were you aware of the existence of that TV show? Do you think Cartoon Network or another network should revive initiatives like these? Let us know in the comments.
