The Last of Us: Final Fantasy Artist Paints a Tender Moment of Joel and Ellie

You can now order a print of Yoshitaka Amano's artwork

The art of The Last of Us is fitting for representing the harsh post-apocalyptic world. However, that doesn't mean the franchise wouldn't benefit from experimenting with other visual styles, as demonstrated by the artist best known for his work on Final Fantasy.

As you may recall, a few months ago, Naughty Dog revealed a collaboration with Yoshitaka Amano to produce a special illustration of The Last of Us. The result took a bit of time, but today we finally get to see the final illustration.

This is how cool The Last of Us looks in Yoshitaka Amano's style

The illustration depicts Ellie sleeping next to Joel in a wooded area under one of the many moons that witnessed their journey in search of the Fireflies. Of course, Joel has his trusty rifle by his side to face any potential dangers lurking in the darkness.

The artistic style is unmistakable, and in the Last of Us illustration, it's easy to identify, especially in the faces of both characters.

If you liked the illustration, you can now get it through the Cook & Becker website. It is available in 4 editions, but 2 of them sold out some time ago. Currently, you can order a premium art print or a premium poster, with the less expensive option priced at $49 USD, and the more expensive one reaching $989 USD. Keep in mind that the units are very limited.
