Season 2 of The Last of Us is set to start filming very soon, and the information gaps surrounding its production are gradually being filled. Today, we know that prominent and award-winning creatives will be involved in the project.

Similar to Season 1 of the series, Season 2 will feature various directors overseeing the episodes. This time, it includes a creative who recently won an Emmy for outstanding work on Succession, another successful HBO series.

Who will direct Season 2 of The Last of Us?

We are talking about Mark Mylod, who recently made headlines after winning the Emmy for directing Episode 3 of Succession.

Additionally, according to Deadline, director Stephen Williams will participate in the production. Williams is known for his work on Westworld, Lost, and Watchmen, the latter earning him an Emmy nomination.

The project from HBO and PlayStation Productions will also feature directors Kate Herron from Loki and Sex Education, and Nina Lopez-Corrado from Perry Mason, The Nevers, and A Million Little Things.

Furthermore, it has been confirmed that the director of the controversial episode featuring Bill and Frank, Peter Hoar, will return to direct in Season 2, along with producers Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. Each is expected to direct at least one episode.
