According to the information, the creative director mentioned that the producer Yoshinori Kitase raised the possibility of including a new and significant element that is not present in the original 1997 video game.
On the other hand, the book indicates that the producer Yoshinori Kitase wants to offer a surprising experience with the sequel to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and highlighted that the development of that game was so efficient because they kept the same staff from the previous installment. The team that participated in this year's game will also work on the third part.
The Japanese producer mentions that the second part was really developed in 3 years, as he worked for a year on the Intergrade DLC for Final Fantasy VII Remake. Thus, he hopes to stick to the same schedule for the third and final installment, which would place the release date of the conclusion of this new trilogy at some point in 2027.
Of course, these are mere predictions, and it seems that neither Yoshinori Kitase nor Tetsuya Nomura know the release date. In case their most optimistic wishes come true, the release of the sequel to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in 2027 would coincide with the 30th anniversary of the original game.
But tell us, when do you think the JRPG will debut? Let us know in the comments.
