Microsoft is the new owner of Activision Blizzard and, with that, it has in its hands such important franchises as Call of Duty. Gamers are looking forward to the shooter saga coming soon to Xbox Game Pass. What's interesting is that there are several indications that this will happen soon.
Recently, users of the service noticed a curious detail: a popular game of the franchise appears in the section of games compatible with Xbox Cloud Gaming, cloud gaming service. This implies that it would sooner or later arrive on Xbox Game Pass.
Will Call of Duty be coming soon to Xbox Game Pass?
Some very observant gamers noticed that Call of Duty: Black Ops III appears for some reason in the section of games that can be enjoyed via Xbox Cloud Gaming, a service offered to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
As you can imagine, fans of the saga got excited and tried to open the game immediately to enjoy it through the cloud. However, the title doesn't work for now, since it freezes and doesn't start successfully. Because of this, users of the service have 2 theories: it is either a simple bug or Microsoft is working on an imminent release of Call of Duty on Xbox Game Pass, but simply not everything is ready yet.
Part of the community thinks that the saga's debut on the service will be one of the big mid-year announcements. Many gamers are excited about the possibility of enjoying Call of Duty games on Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming, especially since the cloud would free them from extensive download periods and prevent hard drives from becoming saturated.
It's worth mentioning that, at the time of writing, neither Microsoft nor Xbox have confirmed the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops III on their services, so it's best to wait for an official announcement.
