Silent Hill: new film reveals its terrifying version of Pyramid Head

Return to Silent Hill will be based on the story of Silent Hill 2

Konami decided to revive Silent Hill with multiple games after a long absence and thousands of requests from fans. The horror saga not only returned with new titles, as a new movie of the franchise is also in production.

We are referring to Return to Silent Hill, a film in charge of Christophe Gans, who made the first film of the saga. The creative finally decided to give us the first glimpse of the new film and what better way to do it than with a great image of the terrifying Pyramid Head.

This is what Pyramid Head looks like in Return to Silent Hill

Pyramid Head is one of the most iconic creatures in the franchise and one of the biggest threats in Silent Hill 2. He is known for his intimidating appearance, the huge metal pyramid he wears on his head and his lethal oversized sword that he drags everywhere.

He is usually considered a representation of the guilt, punishment and repression that mortify James Sunderland, protagonist of Silent Hill 2. Due to its great importance in the sequel and in the saga in general, it could not be absent from Return to Silent Hill.

The first image of the creature makes it clear that the new film will be an adaptation that will stick to the original material in every way. Pyramid Head looks just as fans expect, as it has all its characteristic elements and that look that causes terror. Below you can see the image:

It was confirmed some time ago that Jeremy Irvine will play James, while actress Hannah Emily Anderson will play Mary. The film is scripted by Christophe Gans, Sandra Vo-Anh and William Josef Schneider. Fans believe the film could change some important elements of the game's story.

“Driven by the shadows of his past, James Sunderland returns to Silent Hill to find his lost love, Mary Crane. But the dark and oppressive small town is no longer the place of his memories. He encounters figures who seem all too familiar and who try to dissuade him from his quest,” reads the synopsis.
