The launch of Sucker Punch's title was a success despite the criticism

Ghost of Tsushima just debuted on Steam and became the most recent PlayStation exclusive to hit PC. We know that its debut on Valve's platform was a success, as it is already the 4th best Sony release for computers.

However, the title was not spared from criticism, as it suffered review bombing due to a recent controversy that angered PC gamers. Steam users took advantage of the reviews to lambast Sony for a decision that also affected Helldivers 2.

Sony wants gamers to link a PlayStation Network account with a Steam account to enjoy their PC releases. This generated quite a scandal in the case of Helldivers 2, to the extent that the company had to reverse its decision.

Enjoying the Ghost of Tsushima campaign does not necessarily require account linking; however, the situation is different with Legends, the multiplayer component. This angered gamers again, mainly as this requirement caused the game not to be sold initially in 170 countries.

Because of this, the community did not hesitate to do review bombing on Steam to send a message to Sony and express their dissatisfaction with the account linking in Ghost of Tsushima and future games of the brand.

“Good game, unfortunately Sony wants you to link PSN account for multiplayer” and “I would like to leave a positive review on this great game, but due to the recent Sony dramas and the removal of this game from many countries, I can't leave a positive review on the game,” are some of the reviews that can be read on Steam.

In the last few hours, the title has gone on sale in the countries where it did not debut. For this reason, its reviews are gradually changing to positive on Steam. However, there are still players annoyed by the requirement of account bindings.
