Fans of Hideo Kojima know that the creative often posts brief reviews of the movies he enjoys in his free time. Sometimes, he makes it clear that he didn’t like a film much and simply states that he watched it recently.

Other times, he posts extensive texts where he shares his impressions and what he liked about certain films that excited and captivated him. In the case of Deadpool & Wolverine, the creative showed his excitement for how the movie constantly breaks the fourth wall.

He believes the film goes beyond and “will be a turning point." On the other hand, he confessed that he cried watching the film because seeing Hugh Jackman back in shape and in his starring role brought back many memories from years ago.

“I watched Deadpool & Wolverine. It goes far beyond the 'fourth wall' between real and fictional, between the creators and the fans, but also past the walls of not only the title and studio, but all hero movies and parodies outside of the MCU.

“As a 'Hero-verse' in the age of the 'fifth wall,' this is Deadpool’s greatest 'fourth wall' and will certainly be a turning point. We are also reunited with Yukio, played by Shioli Kutsuna. Seeing a muscular Hugh Jackman brought back many memories of the past quarter of a century, and it made me tear up. Even now, he is still a hero,” Kojima wrote.

His followers agreed with his comments, and some of them shared the emotional sentiment of seeing Jackman back as Wolverine.
