Hackers are ruining Halo: MCC with player bans; 343i makes a promise to concerned fans

The franchise's collection still has a very active player community

343 Industries decided to distance itself from Halo: The Master Chief Collection after providing support and releasing improvements for years. The company is currently focused on Halo Infinite and the future of the franchise, but this has already taken a toll on the players who still enjoy the acclaimed collection.

What's happening is that hackers are having their way, and the Halo: The Master Chief Collection community recently demanded a solution. According to various players, hackers can ban users from the game at will.

The reports have already reached 343i, which made a promise to players concerned about the current state of the collection and its future with the reduced support.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection players have taken to social media and various forums to raise their voices and complain about the presence of hackers. From their perspective, one of the biggest problems is that they have the ability to ban players, which ruins the experience for the entire community.

343i did not ignore the complaints of its players and confirmed that its support and security teams are already investigating the situation. As mentioned, the studio has concluded development on the collection and significantly reduced its support.

Despite this, the company promised to seek a solution and reinforce game support if their investigation determines that some adjustments are necessary. That said, it is very likely that 343i will take action and prepare an update to somehow curb hackers and cheaters.

"Hey folks, just wanted to pop in and say that our support and safety team takes these reports seriously and have been actively investigating these as they are reported to them.

"If, as part of the investigation, it is determined we need some sort of development effort on our end to shore up future problems, we will have that discussion and determine what is feasible for us to commit to," the studio commented.

At the time of writing, 343i has not announced specific measures to address this problem and meet the community's demands. That said, we will have to wait a little longer to learn about the studio's plans.
