PlayStation 5 users experienced an annoying issue in recent days, as update 24.06-10.00.00 caused graphic errors and other types of failures[/url] in various titles, including Final Fantasy XVI. As expected, players raised their voices to demand a quick solution.
Fortunately, Sony listened to the complaints and confirmed that it was already working on a solution. The company kept its word, as this morning they released update 24.06-10.01.00, which aims to resolve all the issues that affected users’ experience in various games.
What does the new PlayStation 5 update do?
According to the official patch notes, version 24.06-10.01.00 of the system only includes performance and stability improvements for the console. However, we know that it is an emergency update aimed at fixing the graphic errors and other problems caused by the previous update.
In case you don’t remember, players reported graphic errors, problems loading saved games, and issues using certain features in games like Star Wars Outlaws, No Man's Sky, Death Stranding, the already mentioned Final Fantasy XVI, and more.
In fact, Square Enix used Final Fantasy XVI's social media to notify PlayStation 5 players that the new update to resolve the issues was now ready. They recommended all console users download it to continue playing.
"In response to the crashes and graphical bugs that were occurring on the PlayStation 5 version of Final Fantasy XVI, SIE have released a new system update. Please try downloading and installing this update. We will continue to work on investigating this issue in collaboration with SIE," the studio said.
So far, no other company has commented on the matter, but it is expected that update 24.06-10.01.00 will be the definitive solution to the recent PlayStation 5 issues. Surely, in the coming hours, players will be able to confirm that there are no longer any errors in the mentioned titles.
